The WVU Campus Recreation "Healthy Holidays" program returns this December to offer WVU faculty/staff and their families with free access during the university's winter break.

“We’re excited to be offering the Healthy Holidays program again this year as part of our continued commitment to promoting a healthy WVU community,” said Gabriela Jasek, coordinator for Member & Guest Experience. “Our hope is that the program makes it easier to prioritize health and wellness during the busy holiday season.”

Campus Rec Extends Ladies Lift Program Through November: Campus Rec Extends Ladies Lift Program Through November

Following a successful first session of our Ladies Lift program, five new classes have been added through mid-November. The last “regular fitness level” class of Ladies Lift will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. New lower level classes will be held every Wednesday from Oct. 19 through Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Campus Rec to offer full schedule of Welcome Week activities: Campus Rec to offer full schedule of Welcome Week activities

Campus Recreation staff are preparing to welcome the class of 2026 with a busy schedule of activities both at the Student Recreation Center and beyond.

Starting with the Welcome Week Cookout on Saturday, Aug. 13, the Rec Center and the Evansdale Rec Fields will once again be filled with new, transferring and returning students. Following the cookout is the first-ever Rec Center Pool Party, which will include an outdoor "slip and slide" from 4 to 9 p.m.
