SilverSneakers now available at the SRC!

SilverSneakers is a FREE fitness program provided by dozens of insurance plans. 1 in 5 people 65 and older are eligible.

As a SilverSneakers member, you enjoy free access to thousands of gyms, fitness classes designed especially for you, SilverSneakers On-Demand video workouts and so much more.

How to join

Already a SilverSneakers Member?

Simply stop by the Membership desk located within the Admin Offices of the Student Recreation Center to fill out our Waiver and Member Contract.

Register with us WVU Retirees!

WVU Retirees, 65 and older, with PEIA insurance can complete all registration here at the Student Recreation Center. You will be asked to complete a Tivity Medical Waiver and Member Contract to become a SilverSneakers Member.

Spring 2020 SilverSneakers Class Schedule

SilverSneakers Classic (1 hr.) Get fit, have fun and make some friends! This class focuses on increasing muscle strength, range of movement and improving activities for daily living. You will have a chair for seated exercises and standing support, and your instructor will offer modifications for any exercise to meet your fitness level.

  • Mondays and Wednesday | 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. | SRC Room B

Other Recommended Classes

Water Aerobics (1 hr.): Water aerobics takes aerobic exercise to shallow water, mixing strength and cardio to boost your heart rate. Using water as your resistance, this class is great for reducing arthritis and other joint pain. A fun workout to keep you energized for the rest of your day!
