Designed to replicate the unique beauty of West Virginia's outdoors, the Student Recreation Center Climbing Wall is 50 feet tall and features more than 2,000 interchangeable handholds with more than 3,500 square feet of climbing surface.

Short-term parking is available for $1.25/hour in several nearby lots, including lot ST-4 adjacent to the Student Recreation Center, ST-9 at Evansdale Crossing, and ST-1 at the Art Museum. Parking is also available at the Coliseum for $2 per day. Students and employees can also access the Student Recreation Center by riding the PRT to Towers or utilizing Mountain Line buses for free with a valid WVU ID. Climbers of all skill levels can challenge themselves, hone their skills, and keep in shape at the WVU Climbing Wall. Any Recreation Center patron can use the climbing wall.
The wall features include crack climbs, overhangs, dihedrals and arêtes which allow for a wide range of climbs, from beginner to advanced.
