Parking

With an ever-expanding Evansdale Campus and growth of University resources, access to parking has been an ongoing focus for University planners. Several short-term parking lots have been added, including “Short Term 4” adjacent to the Recreation Center. Visit WVU's Transportation & Parking site for up-to-date information.

Some of the most pertinent facts are:

  • Parking fees will be in effect Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • The rate per hour is the same as other surface lots: $1.25/hr.
  • Parking at the Coliseum costs $1 per parking session
  • Short Term lot 4 near the art museum is also a closer option with a cheaper parking rate.
  • The ParkMobile app and Mountain Line app are two resources that help identify open spaces and alternate transportation.

Amenities

Climbers of all skill levels can challenge themselves, hone their skills, and keep in shape at the WVU Climbing Wall. Any Recreation Center patron can use the climbing wall.

The wall features include crack climbs, overhangs, dihedrals and arêtes which allow for a wide range of climbs, from beginner to advanced. There is also a bouldering cave with overhanging climbing surfaces that will challenge even the most accomplished climbers. For more information, please visit the Adventure WV Climbing Wall site.
