Eligibility
The following groups are eligible for membership at Campus
Recreation.
- WVU Students, WVU Faculty/Staff
- University Affiliate Groups
- Spouses/Partners & Dependents
- Silver Sneakers
- Alumni
Enrollment
Members can enroll in a membership at the Student Recreation Center or Downtown Fitness Center Front Desk during operational hours. Please come prepared with the required documentation and have any partners/dependents present at the time of enrollment.
Documentation
A WVU student/employee must be present at the time of a spouse/partner’s first membership purchase and must show valid documentation. Employees must be prepared to show their employee ID. Examples include a piece of mail or lease with both people’s names on it or driver’s licenses with the same last name. Birth certificates are required for the first purchase of a dependent membership.Payment Options
Payroll Deduction
The following groups allow payroll deduction for full-time, benefit-eligible employees: West Virginia University, WVU Medical Corporation, WVU Foundation, and the WVU Research Corporation. Payroll deduction is only available for annual memberships. Members who wish to cancel payroll deduction before their 12-month minimum term are subjected to a $75 cancellation fee.
Credit Card
Single TransactionAll memberships with a duration of 9 months or less must be paid in full at
the time of purchase. 12-month memberships may be paid in full or customers may opt for recurring billing. Our facilities are cashless.
Recurring Billing
The recurring billing option is only available for 12-month memberships. Members' cards
will be charged on the first day of each month. Members who wish to cancel recurring billing before the 12-month minimum term are subjected to a $75 cancellation fee.
