Kids Night Out
Campus Recreation is excited to provide an evening out for parents/guardians and a memorable night for your child(ren)! Kids Night Out offers a positive and affordable alternative to having a babysitter for the night. We make it easy and hassle free, all you have to do is register!
Each month we will travel to a new and exciting country to learn about their culture and cuisine. At Kids Night Out, children will not only have tons of fun interacting with their peers; they will also enjoy unique themed activities, group games, crafts, snacks, and more!
Mountaineer KidZone (MKZ) is a flex-care center for children located in the Student Recreation Center. Staff provide safe and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged six weeks through eight years of age.
During the summer of 2020, WVU Campus Recreation will offer week-long day-camps for youth going into first through sixth grade. Camps will incorporate activities all across Campus Rec facilities including the leisure pool with beach-style entry and aquatic basketball, our 55ft-tall rock wall that features multi skill level routes, outdoor fields and our full-court gyms. Keep reading for information on age groups, dates, and cost.
The aquatics department offers a variety of both private lessons and group parent-child water-readiness classes each semester for several age groups.
Youth Climbing Club
Do you have a child interested in climbing?! Campus Recreation’s Youth Climbing Club is a great way for children to learn about rock climbing. Climbing is a fun, exciting, challenging way to stay fit and enjoy the vertical world. Our knowledgeable, experienced, and enthusiastic instructors and counselors will teach a variety of skills such as technique, gear usage and safety, as well as route climbing, bouldering, and strength/endurance. They will also learn life skills such as team work, problem solving, trust, concentration, and communication.
