Campus Recreation has suspended all student focused activities for the foreseeable future. This includes, intramural sports, group exercise, personal training, club sports, and swim lessons.
*The Student Recreation Center will remain closed until further notice.
Private lessons at the WVU Student Rec Center are a good alternative for those who need more personalized interaction with a swim instructor. In a private lesson, a client’s individual needs can be identified and a strategic plan can be made to help that student find success and confidence in the water. Each 30-minute lesson will be held in the Student Recreation Center Leisure pool. Lesson times are flexible as we strive to work closely with your schedule. Private swim lessons are designed for participants at least 3 years old up to adulthood.
Individuals interested in enrolling should register at the SRC welcome desk. After
registering, our student program manager will contact you by email and have
you complete a short questionnaire about your current swimming skill
and your schedule. Once we receive your questionnaire, we will match you
with one of our swim teachers and they will contact you to set up specific lesson
times. We will contact you no later than one week after registration.
