Anna Ray began working as a student employee for UGA’s Campus Recreation department during her junior year. She worked her way up to become the Senior Manager of the Strength and Conditioning department. While earning her masters degree, Anna worked as the Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness at Marshall University. Anna joined NIRSA as a student member from 2014 - 2017 and now is a professional member.
Anna is certified as an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Group Fitness Instructor, Les Mills BODYPUMP AIM 1, Silver Sneakers (Classic and Circuit) and BROGA Yoga; she enjoys teaching classes when she has the opportunity!
As the Coordinator for Fitness and Wellness, Anna oversees Group Fitness and Personal Training programming and collaborates with other campus entities to promote student health and fitness.
Anna’s favorite part of her job is making a difference in people’s lives through helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
If Anna was not working in campus recreation, she would be a travel blogger. In her free time, she loves to spend time outside, travel and experience new cultures. As a Florida native, Anna loves warm weather!

- She swam with sharks in the Great Barrier Reef.
- Her and her husband are Disney fanatics!
- She still can’t drive in the snow.
