Ben Orendorff

Manager for Operations and Events | Campus Recreation

Ben Orendorff currently serves as the Operations and Events Manager for Campus Recreation. Ben received his dual degree in Parks and Recreation Management and GIS and Emergency Management from the California University of Pennsylvania and moved on to receive his Masters of Business Administration at West Virginia University.

Prior to working with Campus Recreation, he worked as the Assistant Director of Recreation for Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Ben is a member of both NIRSA and the Cal U Parks and Recreation Board.

As the Operations and Events Manager, Ben primarily manages guest services, general facility operations and internal and external events. The most rewarding part of Ben’s jobs is seeing the advancement of student who work with Campus Recreation.

In Ben’s free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and spending time with his wife, Holly, and two kids.

Things you wouldn’t expect about Ben:

  • He helped train a white lion.

  • He is certified in high speed defensive auto maneuvering.

  • He may not look like it, but he likes to read books, listen to classical music and fine dining!
