The Falling Run Trail Project is a volunteer based organization that has been working on building hiking and biking paths in Morgantown. The completion of this trail system was a collaboration between many different entities within the university. WVU provided tools and materials, the trail system was designed by landscape architecture professor Vaike Hass and student volunteers worked tirelessly and contributed hundreds of community service hours throughout the fall and spring semester to complete the trails.

Only a short walk from the Mountainlair, this trail is a hidden gem for students looking to get outdoors! The trail connects the downtown campus to WVU’s Organic Farm. Within the greenspace, there are 16 different trails and 11 different access points. Each trail is blazed with a different color and a trail sign.
