The Perfect Desert to Bring to the Family Dinner.

Are you looking for some kind of treat to bring to the family dinner or friends-giving? Well, the pumpkin roll is always a great go-to when it comes to the desired desert.

To get started with this recipe you need a few ingredients:

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • (Optional) powdered sugar for dusting final product

Everyone cooks their pumpkin rolls differently, so go ahead and try your own unique spin on the recipe by throwing some chocolate chips in there or potentially adding additional flavoring such as mint.

You still need to know how to cook it right?

Instructions:

First, you preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, butter or grease one 10x25 inch jelly roll pan, you want to butter the pan to make sure nothing sticks. Once you get the preparations completed, start on the actual treat. In a mixing bowl, blend the eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin puree together till smooth. In a separate bowl, mix your flour and baking soda then throw it in with the pumpkin mixture, blend until smooth. After its smoothed, toss it into the pan and spread evenly. Once the oven is preheated put the pan in and bake for 15 to 25 minutes.

Afterward, remove from the oven allow it to cool. Remove the cake from the pan and place it on a towel and proceed to roll. While that’s cooling, start on the frosting blend the butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and the vanilla extract. When the cake is fully cooled, unroll the cake and start spreading the filling then reroll, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve the tasty sensation called the pumpkin roll.
