Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of facility access by swiping cards
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment through regular detailing and inspection
- Monitor fitness floors to ensure safety through consistent oversight and walkthroughs
- Provide spotting for patrons on an as-needed basis
- Represent the Department of Campus Recreation in a professional manner at all times
- Provide a safe, fun and clean atmosphere for all members and guests in the facility
- Establish and maintain a welcoming environment for all members and guests in the facility
- Provide exemplary customer service to all members and guests
- Enforce and execute all policies and procedures set forth by the Department
- Respond as needed to emergency situations and follow the Emergency Action Plan
- Make sound, time-sensitive decisions based on the Department's mission and vision
- Provide tours to guests visiting the facility
- Maintain accurate Pro Shop inventory and assist with re-stocking as needed
- Maintain the quality of the facility and equipment through detailed inspection and reporting
- Assist with special events taking place on an as-needed basis
- Attend all requires meetings and trainings as scheduled
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
- American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer, AED & First Aid Certification
- Must be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student in good academic standing
at WVU
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
- Willing to work morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours as scheduled
- Possess general knowledge of all Campus Recreation programs
