Membership and Guest Experience Coordinator | Campus Recreation
Dan joined the WVU Campus Recreation team in July of 2026 in the role of Coordinator, Member and Guest Experience. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Virginia Tech as well as a Master of Education and a Doctor of Education in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership for Higher Education Administration from William & Mary. Dan has worked in collegiate recreation since his freshman year in 2007 at five universities. Positions include intramural sports official and supervisor, graduate assistant for intramural sports, assistant director of club sports and intramurals, and assistant director of sport clubs & assessment. Most recently, Dan worked in finance at a public water utility managing contracts for construction, goods, non-professional and professional services with aggregate values exceeding $50M.
As the Coordinator for Member and Guest Experience, Dan works with membership staff and supports facility and maintenance operations, business operations, and aspects of programs and events pertaining to membership and guest experience. Dan believes in the value of collegiate recreation for its enrichment of student learning, health, and wellbeing.
When not at work, Dan enjoys refereeing soccer, basketball and flag football, playing video and board games, and spending time with his wife, Anna, and son, James. A northern Virginia native and Virginia Tech alum, he cheers on the Commanders, Nationals, Wizards and Hokies!
Fun facts about Dan:
Acts as commissioner of a Big Brother fantasy league with his wife and her whole family.
Loves playing poker in Vegas, having been there four times.
