Novel Conoravirus - Programming and Facility Impacts
Pursuant to Governor Justice's proclamation 3-20 requiring all fitness centers and
gyms to temporarily close, the WVU Student Recreation Center is closed at this
time. Campus Recreation has suspended all student-focused activities for the
foreseeable future. This includes intramural sports, group exercise,
personal training, club sports and swim lessons.
*The Student Recreation Center will remain closed until further notice.
Club Sports Travel and Home Competitions Suspended
Per WVU’s most recent update regarding COVID-19, all University travel has been suspended until April 3rd. Additionally, the University has strongly suggested that any activity that requires individuals to travel to Morgantown be suspended until April 3rd. There is potential that this guideline will be extended, so we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. All student facing programs have been cancelled until April 12th, which includes club sports events and competitions.
Campus Recreation has postponed all events following the University’s initiative
to create a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. We are hopeful that
we can work with you to reschedule your event at a later date. It is our goal to
meet your event needs in our space sometime in the near future.
MKZ will remain closed for the foreseeable future following the University’s initiative to create a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. We are continuing to evaluate the situation and hope to have an update after the two-week spring break.
