Summer Camp 2024    

Details

  • Ages 5-12 years.
  • Online Registration for Campus Recreation Members March 20th at 10:00am. 
  • General Public Registration March 25th * Pending Availability. 
  • The dependent(s) enrolling in summer camp must  have a membership at the time of registration to be considered a member. See more information regarding membership fees below.
  • Invoices will be created during registration with a 50% balance due within 48 hours.

2024 Camp Changes

  • 10 weeks available to register. Week of June 3 - Week of August 12. Please note no camp the week of July 4. 
  • Camper Dropoff will begin at 8:00am with pickup as late as 5:15pm.
  • Camper capacity will increase from 40 campers to 60 campers per week!

Get ready for a week bursting with hues, shades, and artistic expression as we dive into the wonderful world of colors. From exploring the science behind color to unleashing our creativity through colorful crafts and activities, this theme week promises to be a kaleidoscope of fun.

Welcome to the Wild Wild West Week at our Summer Camp – where the spirit of the frontier comes alive! Saddle up, cowboys and cowgirls, as we journey back in time to the days of pioneers, outlaws, and rugged landscapes. Get ready for a week filled with adventure, excitement, and a whole lot of Western charm.

Ready for astronaut training? Come investigate the mysteries of the universe on a journey across the galaxy. Campers will feel like space explorers while engaging in gravity-defying obstacle courses, constellation crafts, and maybe even an alien spotting!

Welcome to Beach Bonanza Week at our Summer Camp – where the sun, sand, and surf await! Get ready for a week filled with seaside adventures, ocean exploration, and endless fun in the sun. With the soothing sound of waves and the warm embrace of the sun, our beach-themed week promises to be a refreshing escape.

Get ready for a week filled with monstrous adventures, creepy crafts, and spine-tingling surprises. From classic monsters to legendary creatures, there's something for every thrill-seeker to enjoy.

How’s your roar? Dinosaurs and birds come together for this prehistoric adventure. We’ll learn about giant lizards, feathered friends, and look for fossilized clues to determine which creatures used to inhabit West Virginia.

Ready? Set...Go! Each day campers will use their athletic skills to play, create masterpieces, and participate in a variety of team building exercises, active fun competitions, and games.

Camp is in danger, and we need campers to help save the day. Throughout the week, campers will discuss what it takes to be a true superhero. From crafting their own costumes to defeating villainous obstacle courses, campers are sure to have a ‘super’ fun time! .

Come clown around with us at our end of the summer camp carnival! Juggle like a pro, tame lions, or learn to mime. Each day will feel like a funhouse here at the greatest show on earth!


Typical Day Outline

  • Camp drop-off: 8:00 - 8:30 a.m.
  • Group activities & games
  • Snack time a.m. & p.m. (small snack included)
  • Outdoor field time
  • Arts & crafts
  • Lunch time (campers are to provide their own lunch)
  • Climbing wall
  • Swimming pool
  • Camp pick-up: 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.

Pricing And Payment

  • Member Price: $189/week per camper
  • Non-Member Price: $225/week per camper 
  • 50% deposit required at time of registration for all weeks you enroll in
  • Total balance must be paid in full by May 15, 2024

Before you Register

  • In order to qualify for Returning Camper Priority Registration or Campus Recreation Member Registration the guardian completing the registration must have a current Campus Recreation membership as well as a Dependent membership. This can be completed at the Student Rec Center or Downtown Fitness Center Service Desk.
  • Know the shirt size of the child you are registering. (Youth Sizes)
  • Know which weeks you want to register your children for.
