Kwaku Armooh knew he found a new home in West Virginia when he took his first trip along our Country Roads.

Driving to WVU from his hometown in Maryland, Armooh quickly fell in love with the community, the area, the environment, the beauty he saw in the landscape and the overall setting of the state.

Meet the Staff: Julia Swart, Operations Supervisor: Meet the Staff: Julia Swart, Operations Supervisor

As a WVU student studying both Sports and Exercise Psychology and Nutrition and Food Studies, Julia Swart values staying active. Since August of 2021, the Student Recreation Center has been her second home. Here, she holds dual roles as both an Operations Supervisor and as a Membership Program Assistant.

Austin Grant has always had a love for two things — the outdoors and the Mountaineer spirit. Although he was raised in Weirton, WV, Grant and his sister would spend summers visiting his Great Aunt Judy, who lived in downtown Morgantown. He remembers going exploring all over Morgantown with just a few quarters and the PRT system to lead him.
