Strongest Mountaineer

Join us for this exciting event co-hosted by Campus Recreation and the WVU Powerlifting Club.

How it works:
All participants will compete in three exercise categories: Bench, Squat, and Deadlift. For each lift, participants will be asked to do a 1 Rep Maximum. The Wilks formula will be used to identify winner.
Events and Scoring:
  • Squat (3 max attempts)
  • Bench (3 max attempts)
  • Deadlift (3 max attempts)

24hr hour weigh-in: Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Sunday: Full Event Runs 7a.m. - 12 p.m.

  • 7:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Warm Up/Expectations of lifts
  • 8:00 a.m. Competition Begins
