We offer a variety of annual events, pop-up events and seasonal series designed to keep your active lifestyle fresh and interesting while connecting with the university community. Summer 2019:

Outdoor Group Exercise Series | June 4 - July 26

Take advantage of the summer sun and breeze with these special outdoor fitness classes. This series includes cardio, strength and mind-body classes like Spin, BODYATTACK and sunrise yoga. View the schedule below and come join us a breath of fresh air outdoors. All classes have rain plans and will take place indoors in case of inclement weather.

Outdoor Running Program | July 9 - August 15

Prepare for your next race with this 6-week class that consists of speed work on the outdoor gravel track, cross training with intervals and body weight exercises, and working with someone at the same pace for endurance training. This program will provide a friendly, community atmosphere that encourages progress. Visit the page below for more info on pricing and registration.

2nd Annual Fall Family Weekend 5k | September 28 | 9 - 11 a.m.

Whether you're looking to start your new 5k habit or make a new PR attempt, come support Campus Recreation and Fraternity and Sorority Life at our annual Family Weekend 5k at the Student Rec Center 5k course.

Strongest Mountaineer Competition | September 22

Face off against your fellow Mountaineers in this exciting friendly weightlifting competition co-hosted by Campus Rec and the WVU Powerlifting Club. Compete in 4 types of lifts to earn the title of Strongest Mountaineer! Visit the page below for more info on competition rules.
