Fitness Swimming

Whether you are an experienced swimmer, a triathlete or an intermediate fitness swimmer, the Fitness Swim Class has a lane just for you.

This class is designed to improve your swimming, help you learn and implement new techniques and take your current workouts to the next level with the help of a supportive community. The fitness swim class is a group of water enthusiasts looking to meet new people, have fun and get fit in the water. We pride ourselves on our class offering something to everyone, including, but not limited to triathletes looking to improve their swimming skills or swimmers looking to change their workouts and improve their techniques. 

Who: Must be 18 years of age to participate.


General Information

  • Participants must be able to swim 100 yards and have basic knowledge of swimming.

Schedule

    January 16th - April 18th 

    (Class will not meet 3/12 or 3/14 for WVU Spring Break)

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Participants may choose how often they come to practice and which practices they attend. This class is designed to provide opportunities to participants with busy schedules. During each practice, coaches will lead a structured workout that incorporates various drills and stroke techniques to improve time, form and confidence.

The class is open to all Student Recreation Center members. Participants must be able to swim 100 yards and have basic knowledge of swimming. Bring a cap, goggles and water to every practice!
